Long, Hard Process - Loan Modification


My husband and I have been going through a loan modification program with Chase for over a year. Like untold others, we have jumped through hoops over and over again! Finally we received our Loan Modification Agreement a few days ago---Great, we thought! Upon review of the agreement, our payment has increased about $50.00 per month, plus the first payment due date show as Feb.1, 2010!? After numerous calls to Chase to make sure that there is no problem with it and being told that we should go ahead and sign and send it back to them, we are a little nervous that anything that might be incorrect in the paperwork will cause the agreement to be null and void!! Since we have to overnight the paperwork back today, I do not have time to have an attorney look over this! I was assured by the customer service rep (outsourced, I'm sure) there would be no problem Has anyone had this problem yet?
