  • They Got $400... I got NOTHING!

This is in regard to a refinance I thought I was doing for my home with JP Chase Mortgage. My current mortgage has been with Chase for over 10 years. I have NEVER been late on a single mortgage payment. I have an extremely high FICO credit score of 794. The refinance I was attempting to do was for $71,500. The value of the house based on their numbers was $208,000.... hence a 30% loan-to-value refinance (a no-brainer for a competent lender). Our combined income is around $85,000. I paid Chase a $395 application fee for what they stated would be a "low doc loan". They stated that... More...

We have been playing this modification game with Chase since March of 2009 and it is now November 2010. We did the trial payments, and paid them on time everytime. After all of that we have been told we were not approved and owed the backpay. There only solution was to keep reapplying for the same program instead of offering us options. We did this about 6 times with no real help. We are now being told we owe over $25,000 in backpay and fees! I just went ahead and hired American Residential Law Group to help us fight this battle. We were not behind until Chase told us to temporarilt pay... More...

5 October 2010 / 20 October 2010 To Whom and All It May Concern: We have been going through a Loan Modification with Chase Home Finance and Scott Law Firm since March 2010, or so we though and then we find out that on August 2, 2010 they sold our home and property at auction without us knowing it and only gave us ten (10) days to vacate. They said we haven't been making our payments on time but I have ALL documentation to support that. We have had to find other means to live since we thought we had (10) days to vacate. I have since hired an attorney, Allison Moon. Despite the... More...

  • Long, Hard Process

My husband and I have been going through a loan modification program with Chase for over a year. Like untold others, we have jumped through hoops over and over again! Finally we received our Loan Modification Agreement a few days ago---Great, we thought! Upon review of the agreement, our payment has increased about $50.00 per month, plus the first payment due date show as Feb.1, 2010!? After numerous calls to Chase to make sure that there is no problem with it and being told that we should go ahead and sign and send it back to them, we are a little nervous that anything that might be... My uncle secured a HELOC for $50k from Chase in 2008 to buy a wheelchair-accessible van for my aunt, who died in Oct, 2009. My uncle died 10 days later. I was named executrix. The attorney for my uncle’s estate sent Chase the death certif. and my letter of authority in November, 2009. The branch also sent these documents to Chase Home Finance and I sent them several times. However, Chase refused to peak to me about the HELOC! I called and emailed several times and they said they had no proof I was the executrix! In early May, I received a letter from Chase attorneys stating... More...

  • Making Home Affordable Program

Back on July 21, 2009 my husband and I were offered a home mortgage modification loan through our mortgage company CHASE Finance. This is the 2009 Obama Mortgage Relief Plan that is suppose to help homeowner’s get their interest rates and payments lowered to a more affordable amount. Well my husband and I are beginning o think that the whole thing is a scam. No way is President Obama aware of what these banks are doing to their customers with this program. After three trial period payments they are suppose to lower your interest rate and payment. It’s been over seven months, we... More...

  • Home Modification

I have been in the loan modification process since 06/09 with Chase Home Finance and have been making my forbearance payments since then, I was told I would only be in this process for 90-120 days, it is now going on 8 months and still haven't heard a thing. I call at least once a week and I am told different things each time. I haven't even been assinged an analyst yet, all required docs have been sent several times. When I call and ask to speak to a manager or supervisor I am immediately told "NO!! you cannot" , I am so frustrated at this I don't know what to... More...
